STATE OF ROADS IN ADO ODO OTA LG - Comr Yusuf Wasiu Olamilekan (Oko Momi)

It is no longer news that the current status of the major roads in Ado Odo Ota Local government Area of Ogun State are bad, as the situations of these roads keeps getting worse everyday which is detrimental to the well-being of the constituents. 

"I must however express my sadness about the current situation of the roads in Ota such as the Sango -Joju road,Obasanjo, Itele, Oju ore idiroko, igbesa road and Anglican road, they are nothing to write home about, the rate at which  lives are  lost everyday as a result of those roads saddens me"

Thanks to the immediate past administration of Ogun state led by Senator Ibikunle Amosun FCA,CON as his work in the state most especially in Ado Odo Ota can not be over emphasized.

However, the best way to enjoy the benefit of  government is continuity which should be the watchword for the present administration.

 Meanwhile, I also use this opportunity to thank the current administration led by Dr  Prince Dapo Abiodun Mfr for the rehabilitation of Osi-ikolaba road of the local government which is also one of the major roads in the constituency, nevertheless the current status of other roads are gradually nullifying the effort of the state government on the said rehabilitated road.

We hereby appeal to both the state and federal government through the representatives from the constituency Engr Noimot Oyedele Salako, deputy governor of Ogun State and Hon Jimoh Olushola ojugbele, member Federal house of Representatives representing the constituency at the green chamber and as well as Hon Yusuf Sheriff, majority leader of the Ogun state House of Assembly and Hon Wasiu Lawal, the chairman of Ado Odo Ota Local Government transition committee to kindly come to our aid and save lives and properties which are being damaged as a result of the conditions of these roads.

 Now that both the deputy governor and the majority leader of the Ogun state House of Assembly are both from Ado Odo Ota constituency, this should be another opportunity for a local government which generates highest Internally General Revenue to the state and also one of the top five of the Local Government among the 774 Local Governments in Nigeria that generates highest IGR to the country to enjoy a dividend of democracy most especially in infrastructural sectors.

 First opportunity was during the time of former president olusegun Obasanjo who should have used his influence to get these roads done without stress but so  unfortunately he sees no good in doing it then but we shall all be remembered for all our actions either good or bad.

I pray to Almighty Allah in his mercy to make this heart-bleeding message to get to the concerned bodies and get quick response. Ameen.

May the most high God save the world from this current heartbreaking Virus called covid-19 and at the end of all, we shall all come out with  Thanksgiving statements. Ameen.
