NANS ZONE D CONSTITUTES OFFICIAL NUMBER PLATE TASK FORCE, WARNS IMPERSONATORS

 

The attention of the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Student's Southwest Zone (NANS ZONE D) has been notified of the illegal activities being carried out by some unscrupulous elements who act in impersonation of office of various constitutionally elected executives of NANS Southwest Zone and their appointees.

According to reliable sources, these sets of suspects illegally produce vehicle number plates using the ranks of NANS Southwest Zonal Executive structure.

These lawless individuals take the advantage of such illegally acquired vehicle identification numbers to foster their activities of making away with impersonation of offices, visiting institutions and meeting governmental stakes for cheap recognition and extortion.

We like to seek this medium to inform the general public and all Nigerian Students particularly that measures are being put in place to fish out the imposters and deal with them the most decisive and lawful way. 

Hence, we should watch out and beware of these broad day impersonators. Part of such effort is the leadership decision to set up a seven man committee in each Southwestern state which shall double as task force to thoroughly investigate into matters concerning the suspect, identifying them and handover to appropriate authorities.

While we anticipate the reopening of schools across all levels in the country, we reassure every concerned stakes and generality of the public that the days of the bad eggs are  numbered.

Once again, we hereby disclaim any such transaction involving the NANS Southwest Zone flagged under any other leadership outside that of Comrade Kappo Samuel Olawale, the legitimately and constitutionally recognized NANS Zone D Coordinator and his Deputy, Comrade Oladimeji Uthman.

We also charge the various law enforcement  agencies to aid the sieve-out efforts. Any official NANS ZD number plates should be impounded and be questioned henceforth.

TERMS OF REFERENCE

i. Scout for any vehicle making use of the NANS Zone D number plate only.

ii. Arrest any impersonator or unscrupulous person making use of the official number plate of NANS Zone D.

iii. Investigate into matters concerning the suspect and handover to appropriate authorities.

iv. Impound the wanted vehicle and immediate removal of the number plate.

v. Make official report to the secretariat.

The committee have been given from the date of publication to undertake this assignment.
