A man that cannot qualitatively represent our Federal Constituency cannot be trusted to handle bigger responsibilities on behalf of our people, as a third term ranking member of the Federal House of Representative representing Ado-Odo / Ota Federal Constituency, Mr Ojugbele’s ten years in the House is nothing to write home about. His quality of mind is manifested in the type of constituency projects he attempts to lure to his Federal Constituency. A review of his ‘nothing-to-show-for-it’ constituency projects from 2011 to 2020 shows an Honourable that is in perpetual ‘repeat-replay mode’, two instances will suffice. His 2019 and 2020 constituency projects are purchase of motorcycles, grants for widows, widowers and the youths running into millions of Naira without anything to show for it, when we called out the honourable to release the list of the beneficiaries for his 2019 constituency projects, he was silent and evasive, we cannot but conclude that ghosts must have been the beneficiaries of such projects by a man representing the living, while his counterparts are fixing their constituents in federal positions, he is busy running after shadows at the expense of the people he is representing in Abuja, I do not have any record of his quality contributions to discussions on the floor of the House (if any), he belong to the silent seat warming Honourables even as a ranking third term member.
Another instance will suffice, even in his hometown of Igbesa, he abandoned the construction of the Police Station that was mobilized as a capital project since 2018, when TrackaNG called him out on Twitter and exposed the abandoned state of the project, Mr Ojugbele that is known to ignore calls and messages turned himself to a messenger calling everybody up and down to explain why the project was abandoned. He called me up and asked me to meet one Engineer Sulaimon in NBBRI Ota office as the person in charge of the project, when I mobilized my people to visit the Engineer Sulaimon at NBBRI Ota office, we were told that he has not been around for the past three days. Quite naturally, we gave the Mr Ojugbele the feedback of our voyage, pronto he went on the defensive (this was contrary to his calls days earlier where he appealed that we bring down discussions around the Igbesa Police Station) obviously, he was shocked that we went to NBBRI to cross check his assertions. Jolted by our resolve to get to the root of the matter, he quickly mobilized men to site to continue the project that has been abandoned since 2018 and instructed his Senior Legislative Aide (SLA) to release the ‘return-to-site’ pictures of the project with a diversionary, weak and lame press release. It took our calling him out to resume the construction of a Police Station for his home town, what a pity!
Our Honourable is not known to address issues or honour request for meetings, rather he will mobilise and unleash his online attack dogs to run after a bullet train that has since left the station. The scavengers, in their attempt to impress their benefactors, to justify their cyber bullying fees and sustain patronage (as their means of survival majorly depend on the stipends from their political patronage because they don’t have what is politically called a second address), they rush online to blindly defend their political godfathers by attacking the messenger instead of addressing the issues raised in the message, they are masters of diversionary tactics, their attempts always almost sound like a broken mega phone on auto replay mode. Unfortunately their cyber madness lacks method, the more they tried, the more they advertise their nuisance value to the world.
We want to use this medium to thank Mr Jimoh Ojugbele for his numerous cosmetic projects that he has initiated since we started x-raying his abysmal performance as our representative for the past ten years but be rest assured Sir that we will keep reminding you of your social contract to the people of your constituency, what we need is result backed with evidence, not noise with nothingness and directionless speed.
Mr Ojugbele Sir, please accept as always, the assurance of my highest regard, we want the best for you and that is why we are keeping you on your toes.
