Arsenal legends ask Arteta to fix the Aubameyang dilemma for his mental health.

Aubameyang's fall from grace has been swift, with him being left out of the team for two Premier League matches and stripped of the Captain's band.

Mikel Arteta and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are at odds, with the striker suspended for disciplinary reasons.

Mikel Arteta, according to Arsenal great Ian Wright, might overcome the present situation with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang by expressing some trust in the outcast striker. Wright believes that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger should bring the Gabonese striker back into the fold since he is a vital component of the group.

Due to disciplinary difficulties, Aubameyang was pulled out of Arsenal's squad for two consecutive match days against Southampton and West Ham United. On Tuesday, the London club also announced that the 32-year-old striker had been stripped of his leadership.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Arsenal attacker, has yet to make any public pronouncements about his status at the club

In an interview with Premier League Productions, Wright stated that the Spanish manager cannot continue to avoid discussing the Gabonese striker because he would have to address the problem at some time.

"He's simply not interested in anything to do with Aubameyang, and I completely understand when he says he just wants to concentrate on what occurred today and doesn't want to talk about it," Wright added. But I don't think you can continue to ignore it, especially in the manner in which it has occurred.

"At some point, you're going to have to put a stop to it or talk about it." He has the potential to kill it and say, 'Yeah, he's in the plans and an Arsenal player,' and he didn't."

Meanwhile, another Arsenal icon, Martin Keown, has urged the club to address the problem surrounding the club's former captain in order to safeguard his mental health.

"I think it was a really brave choice to remove Aubameyang as captain." "It might have been delayed until the end of the season because I'm just worried about Aubameyang and how we get him back on the field," Keown told BT Sport.

Keown feels Arsenal cannot afford to lose the Gabonese striker till the end of the season due to his sheer skill and significance to the team.

Aubameyang is presently the club's highest-paid player, earning £350,000 a week.

"He'll be a significant player at some time; you don't have that kind of talent and just fade from the squad."

That is my main worry. It's a risky move, and I would have waited till the summer; it would have been safer. "Protect him a little bit, we speak about mental health, we don't know what Aubameyang's mental health is right now," the former Arsenal player ended.

Arteta has not stated if Aubameyang has played his final game for Arsenal, simply that the striker is indefinitely unavailable for selection. This season, the former Borussia Dortmund striker has only four Premier League goals for Arsenal.
