An Islamic organization accuses Goodluck Jonathan of being responsible for recent killings and kidnappings in Northern Nigeria.

Muslim Rights Concern, MURIC, an Islamic human rights organization, has blamed former President Goodluck Jonathan for the recent killings, kidnappings, and damage in Northern Nigeria.

The North is rife with wrath about insecurity, with certain organizations already protesting, and the typical northerner simmering with rage.

MURIC blamed Jonathan's government for the instability in the North and chastised politicians who misappropriated funds allocated for the procurement of armaments for the armed forces.

The organization cautioned the North against directing their rage in the wrong direction, pointing out that the bastardization of the almajiri system had not helped.

The group, in a statement sent to the media on Saturday and signed by its director, Professor Ishaq Akintola, argued that the current security crisis is the responsibility of previous leaders, not the current one.

"Under the last president's supervision, the way and manner in which the $2.1 billion in armaments money was distributed among party supporters left much to be desired." If that money had been used for its original purpose, instability in the North would have been brought under control far sooner," it stated.

MURIC also accused the Bukola Saraki-led 8th National Assembly for basically holding President Muhammadu Buhari's hands and ensuring that there was motion without progress during his tenure.

According to MURIC, the Saraki-led assembly's only goal was to thwart the Buhari government and guarantee that all of its efforts were futile.

The Islamic rights group stated that the area needs to know who is to blame for the current instability so that they may assign proper responsibility, referring to those who, according to it, neglected to take timely action during Boko Haram's heyday.

MURIC cautioned the North not to blame Buhari by demonstrating, saying the area may self-destruct.
