The Deputy Rector of the encourages the new students and enlightened them about the school at the orientation programme held on Tuesday 10th December 2019.
The Deputy Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Mrs I.K Ogunfayo brought this to the spotlight during the 2019/2020 orientation programme for the newly admitted students, held at the school multipurpose hall, on the 10th December 2019.

According to her, the institution is noted for stable academics calendar for over 25 years and high rates of graduates performance in the labour market.
She said, the institution was rated the second best Polytechnic in Nigeria by National Board for Technical Education, also tagged as the most sought after Polytechnic by JAMB.
However, she stated that the institution has zero tolerance for indiscipline as it is the core value of the institution.
The Deputy Rector, advocates the need for cordial relationship between students and directorates of Students affairs (DSA) as it will foster peace and academic excellence.
She highlighted the need for descent dressing and the kind of groups student associate themselves with within and outside the school campus.
Mrs Ogunfayo, congratulated the 2,700 admitted students of which the total of 12,000 sought for admission for the 2019/2020 academic session.
She urged students to be of good conduct and obey the Ethics and set rules guiding them in the student handbook.
