At the age of 54, Okowa joins Makinde in congratulating him.

Delta Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has greeted his Oyo State colleague, Mr Seyi Makinde, on his 54th birthday.

Okowa praised Makinde for his bold accomplishments in human capital and infrastructure development of his state, according to a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, in Asaba.

He hailed Makinde as an accomplished politician and successful businessman who brought to public service his many years of expertise in the private sector.

The governor also praised Makinde for his patriotic and unwavering devotion to his state and the nation, and prayed to God to continue to bless him with good health and knowledge to continue his good services for the people.

"Your concentration and devotion to your administration's four-point strategy of state economic growth via agricultural value chain; security; health; and education has resulted in a healthy economy for the people of Oyo State."

"In particular, I must praise you for awarding contracts for 299 primary healthcare centers throughout electoral wards, as well as the ongoing Oyo Independent Power Project (IPP), which will contribute to the state's economic transformation."
